Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder with complex underlying mechanisms. This animation elucidates these pathways by exploring environmental factors and the resulting cellular changes.
With my team, we developed an environment and series of visual metaphors that represent the vitiligo pathways in an engaging and accessible manner. I was responsible for researching the morphology of cell signalling factors (JAK-STAT complex) and animating the initial cellular sequence (0:38-1:08).
