Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder with complex underlying mechanisms. This animation explains the pathogenesis and emerging treatments for vitiligo using a colourful visual language.
My team and I developed an environment and series of visual metaphors that represent the vitiligo pathways in an engaging and accessible manner. I was responsible for researching the morphology of cell signalling factors (JAK-STAT complex) and animating the initial cellular sequence (0:38-1:08).
